Question:  How do I add additional partner functions to an existing customer? It only lets me add 15 Ship-To Parties, but not any more than that. How do I make sure not to overwrite an existing Partner?

An existing customer may have one or many existing Ship-To parties or other Partner Functions. You want to add additional Partner Functions but you don't know how many existing lines of Partners will already be there. There is no insert row or a type of new partner add button. The page down also does not seem to work. There does not seem to be a way to ensure I do not overwrite an existing Partner. And since there are only 15 lines visible at a time, it does not let me add more that even if I add one line at a time to each row

.

Solution: SP will always be the Partner at the top of the grid by default in a customer master. Use the "Sort Descending" button so that SP (Sold-to) will show at the bottom instead of at the top as before. There is a "Position" button on that screen with an option for Partner Function. Enter in "SP" for Partner Function. Now SP will be positioned at the top and there will only be blank rows below it. Then you can enter in your new Partner Function on the fifteenth line. Use this as your way to ensure you are putting in the new Partner into a blank row. There is no need to loop as you can enter the new Partners one at a time to a customer.

Also, if you have a Z partner function that will be in every customer, then you can try positioning on that Partner Function as the Z functions will typically show at the bottom of the grid.
