Issue - The Winshuttle Excel add-in does not appear when you open up Excel.

Solution - The add-in can be disabled both by our software and by Excel.  You will want to check both places to make sure it is enabled.

To make sure it is enabled in Winshuttle Software -

To make sure it is enabled in our software open up the program and click under Tools and then Options.  Under Application Defaults you will see a checkbox for "Enable runSHUTTLE Excel Addin" make sure that this is checked.

To make sure it is enabled in Excel -

For Excel 2010:   open up Excel and click into Main Menu -> Options -> Add-Ins -> Manage -> Select Disabled Items-> Go.  If you see the runSHUTTLE addin, enable it.

Note - The 64-bit configuration of Excel is not supported, so install the 32-bit configuration of Excel.

For Excel 2007:   open up Excel and click into Main Menu -> Excel Options -> Add Ins -> Manage -> Select Disabled Items-> Go.  If you see the runSHUTTLE addin, enable it.

For Excel 2003:   open up Excel and click into Help -> About -> Disabled Items.  If you see the runSHUTTLE addin, enable it.

Note - If the add-in is enabled in runSHUTTLE but isn't showing up in Excel, it is possible there was an error during the installation that prevented the add-in from installing correctly.  If this is the case, follow the below instructions

For Windows Vista/7 users, temporarily turn User Account Control off (computer must be restarted) or right click the setup.exe and select run as administrator, then reinstall the software.  This should allow the add-in to be properly installed.

For Windows XP users, right click the setup.exe and select run as and deselect the "Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity".  This should allow the add-in to be installed properly.

Would suggest to folks that still have issues, like Katrina, that you can manually add the add-ins in excel.

Follow to under the same paths mentioned above for excel steps, then at the last bit, you select Add instead of just trying to enable something that may not appear. This also has to be done as admin!

Once you pick add you locate the add-in somewhere like this:

    C:\Program Files\Winshuttle\TRANSACTION\adxloader.dll

This error keeps occurring periodically with my operating system. Installation was completed successfully and the add-in appeared as it should.

The add-in keeps being disabled in excel and can be fixed by going to the help --> about menu. Can you advise why this would keep happening across multiple users on different machines and is there a way this can be stopped permanently? Thanks

Same error faced for VISTA.Despite re installation, the icon keeps getting disabled periodically.

I have tried both of the above suggestions to make sure my Excel Add-In is enable and it has not worked. The box is checked in Winshuttle but when I look in Excel nothing shows up under the disabled Add-ins.
