sqlSHUTTLE prerequisites

To use sqlSHUTTLE to post data into SQL databases tables, the following prerequisites should be met.

• SAPGUI must be installed on the server where sqlSHUTTLE is running.

• If you are accessing an external SAP system on the server where sqlSHUTTLE is running, the Internet connection must be enabled on that server.

• sqlSHUTTLE must be installed in the same domain as the querySHUTTLE and xSHUTTLE clients.

• Windows and SQL authentication work only for users who are in the same domain as SQL Server, but SQL authentication works for all SQL servers for which the user is authorized.

• UserSystemInfo.xml is distributed along with sqlSHUTTLE.

• The file contains the user home directory. The home directory contains information on all user activity in sqlSHUTTLE, including the scheduled jobs and the run log.  The home directory must have read/write permission. You can change the user home directory.

• The file also contains the default sqlSHUTTLE port, which is set to 9091. You can change the port, but the specified port must be opened.

Please contact your IT group for more details on SQL Server installation. For sqlSHUTTLE installation, please see Winshuttle sqlSHUTTLE installation document.
